PRONOMINAL ADJECTIVES 4

Numerical Adjectives, which gives information about the noun they qualifies. This sub-division of pronominal adjective can also be referred to as ordinates. They are of  two kinds namely:



i.     Cardinal numbers such as one, two, three, four, five, etc.
ii.   Ordinal numbers such as first, second, third, fourth, fifth, etc.
Example in Sentences:
➣Mrs Funmilayo Kuti was the first woman to drive a car in Nigeria
➣We attended a two day seminal on how to go about the restructuring of Nigeria  


Distributive Adjectives, which are used to qualify or refer to each member of a group, such as each, every and either   
Example in Sentences:
➣Each competitor got a prize
➣Either of the two boys is coming
➣Every member of the team has a spear pair of booths

Other forms of the pronominal adjectives include:
➦Adjective of colours such as: yellowish, blue, mauve, grey etc
➦Adjective of size such as: flat, spherical, conical, cylindrical, voluminous, etc
➦Adjective of age such as: modern, new, old, archaic, colloquial, etc.
